My interest in design begins with an innate love for observing the natural and man-made world and treasuring the visual harmonies and idiosyncrasies contained within. Attention to details in color, rhythm, form, and space combined with a dash of imagination remakes even the simplest and most mundane objects and places into wonderful curiosities. These visual revelations are my tools for the communication and crystallization of ideas as well as ends in themselves. Where art and function enter symbiosis I find the heart and true potential of design. I intend to infuse beauty, logic, poetry, and whimsy into our day to day existence. Ultimately, design can transform all aspects of our cultural environment and open the collective imagination in unexpected ways. -nicole piar
